…in a Historic DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS.

Cayla and Evan dreamt of a untraditional wedding that personified a crisp fall night.
Dark. Moody. Cozy. With a dash of drama.
ANd, they nailed it.
The couple wed at Neidhammer Events, a Historic building built as a fraternity lodge in 1900. Over it’s century long history the building has been the the home to a Drugstore, Salvage Shop, Cider Company, and IT currently houses a cafe.
The Florals and decor incorporated warm, rich colors that highlighted the the venue’s gorgeous exposed brick walls, industrial light fixtures, and original wood beam ceiling.
The ceremony, which took place on the second floor of the building, was officiated by The groom’s uncle. THe combination of the small guest count and quaint space made the whole experience feel so cozy and intimate.
Bucking tradition, the couple decided to have a later ceremony and omitted the need for cocktail hour. They, instead, opted to kept the festivities going.
After the ceremony, while the bride and groom snapped a few family photos, Guests made their way to the 3rd floor where they grabbed a drink and found their seat.
The evening continued with toasts, dances, and dinner.
For dinner, Guests were treated to a taco bar, cheesecake shooters, cookies, and brownies. the untraditional menu was a hit with with everyone!
Special touches throughout the day included;
table numbers with an audiobook qr code on the back, so guests could record a voice message for the couple.
The ceremony space was transformed into a game room, giving guests the opportunity to escape the dance floor and cozy up to a game of scrabble.
The couple had a sweetheart table, along with two head tables. All three tables were placed on the stage in the reception space. It was such a fun way to allow the couple the ability to look out over their family & friends.
Cayla & Evan, and the love that they have for each other, radiated all day long. I loved being a part of their wedding planning journey and coordinating their special day.
