…that ended with the Bride busting out the “thriller” choreography on the dance floor.

Emily and Bob wed the final Saturday in October at the Historic St. Joseph Hall in Downtown Indianapolis.

instead of INCORPORATING traditional autumnal shades , the couple opted for jewel tones which looked gorgeous against the brick facade of the historic building.

florals and decor were simplistic but impactful. Lots of greenery, candles, hints of gold, and fresh white blooms.

In our planning meetings, Emily expressed her desire to have a day that was classic and traditional, while at the same time laid back and fun…And her and Bob’s wedding was just that!

A traditional buffet dinner paired with a late night snack of pretzels & pizza.

Classic tablescapes of varying candles & greenery, complete with a custom beer koozie at each place setting.

An evening full of traditional wedding formalities, that also included time with friends on a party bus during cocktail hour and dancing to “Thriller” at the reception. (THe couple’s homage to the upcoming holiday.)

The balance made for the perfect celebration!

Other highlights of the day included:

a bar menu featuring signature drinks named after their pets, Snickers & Zoey.
A meaningful friend-led ceremony only made even more special by the addition of the cutest ring bearer & flower girl.
An always occupied photobooth that led to guests swapping funny hats all night long.

And while it’s good luck for it to rain on your wedding day, it can be a bit of a bummer when it comes at the expense of cutting your pre-planned sparkler exit.

Emily & Bob were troupers, though, and didn’t let the undesired weather spoil their day.

To ensure that the couple didn’t miss out on a final group picture, though, the photographer and I worked to gather everyone on the dance floor for one more shot.

Reason #137 to hire a wedding coordinator.

We know that changes in plans can be a bummer, so we will always try and present you with other creative alternatives.

It was such a pleasure working with Emily & Bob and their sweet families. Their wedding was the perfect ending to a busy October.
