Amy & Kyle’s special day was the epitome of a picturesque Indiana barn wedding.
Recently, I was talking with my husband about the fact that Indiana gets a “bad wrap” for being dull on tv shows, movies, and even musicals. Outsiders perceive Indiana as a state lacking beauty, character, and charm.
Which, in my option, couldn’t be further from the truth.
One look out at the fields at the Wild Backberry farms in Fortville, Indiana would have any non-believer grabbing a Indiana Beach’s “there’s more that corn in indiana” t-shirt.
needless to say, Guests were treated to an evening of gorgeous views and the quaint aspects of country living.
Despite the rain making an unwanted appearance (who gave him an invite?!) the day was gorgeous! I worked with the vendors to ensure that we were all on the same page regarding the “rain back-up Plan.” Some vendors were moved indoors and some decorations were set up at the last minute, but we were able to make the bride’s dream of having an outdoor ceremony come true! In true wedding magic fashion, the heavens opened up right after the ceremony concluded and guests had time to seek shelter in the barn. (Special thanks to the groom’s step-dad for giving me the radar report every 10-minutes leading up to the ceremony).

The fun, laid back event included wildflowers grown from the mother of the Bride’s backyard, a taco buffet from a favorite mexican Restuarant, a retro Camper photobooth, and dog treat favors for Guests to take come to their furry friends.
It was dreamy Indiana summer day not soon to be forgotten.
